Explain Aditya- L1 (spacecraft) briefly explain its importance.

The original Aditya-L1 mission was conceived as a small satellite in an ∼800km orbit carrying one payload to study solar corona.

• The mission has been enhanced and termed as Aditya-L1 mission carrying seven payloads, which was approved in 2015.

• It is scheduled for launch during the 2020 timeframe by PSLV-XL Aditya-L1. It can provide observations on the corona and provide observations on the solar chromosphere using a UV payload and, on the photosphere and flares using X-ray payloads.

• These payloads taken together are expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of how solar flares originate and propagate.

• Also, the charged particle detectors and the magnetometer payloads can provide information on charged particles and the magnetic field which emanate from the eruptive events.

• To enable this, the Aditya-L1 spacecraft is to be placed in a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrangian point 1 (L1) which is about 1.5 million km from the Earth.

• ஆதித்யா-எல் 1 பணி கொரோனா என அழைக்கப்படும் சூரியனின் வளிமண்டலத்தின் வெளிப்புற பகுதி பற்றிய  ஆய்வு செய்ய ஒரு ∼800 கி.மீ சுற்றுப்பாதையில் பொருத்தப்பட்ட ஒரு சிறிய செயற்கைக்கோளாகும்

• இந்த பணி மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டு ஏழு பேலோடுகளை சுமக்கும் ஆதித்யா-எல் 1 என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது, இது 2015 இல் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டது.

• PSLV -XL ஆதித்யா-எல் 1 இன் 2020 காலக்கெடுவில் தொடங்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• இது கொரோனாவைப் பற்றிய தகவல்களை  வழங்க முடியும், மேலும் யு.வி. பேலோடைப் பயன்படுத்தி சூரிய நிறமண்டலத்தைப் பற்றிய தகவல்களையும், ஒளிமண்டலத்திலும், எக்ஸ்ரே பேலோடுகளைப் பயன்படுத்தும் எரிகற்களின் நிகழ்வுகளையும் வழங்க முடியும்.

• இந்த பேலோடுகள் ஒன்றாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்டால், சூரியனில் வெப்பம் எவ்வாறு உருவாகின்றன மற்றும் பரவுகின்றன என்பதைப் பற்றிய விரிவான புரிதலை வழங்கும்.

• மேலும், மின் துகள் பற்றிய தகவல்கள் ,காந்தமீட்டர் பேலோடுகள் சார்ஜ் செய்யப்பட்ட துகள்கள் மற்றும் காந்தப்புலம் பற்றிய தகவல்களை வழங்க முடியும்

• இதை இயக்க, ஆதித்யா-எல் 1 விண்கலம் பூமியிலிருந்து சுமார் 5 மில்லியன் கி.மீ தூரத்தில் உள்ள சூரிய-பூமி லக்ராஜியன் புள்ளி 1 (எல் 1) ஐச் சுற்றி ஒரு ஒளிவட்ட சுற்றுப்பாதையில் வைக்கப்பட உள்ளது
