Health Schemes for Women

  • Nutrition Programme for Adolescent Girls, 2002-03 under this scheme, 6 kg of food grains were given to under-nourished adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers according to their weight

Janani Suraksha Yojana, 2005

  • Centrally sponsored scheme
  • To reduce IMR and MMR value by promoting institutional delivery by providing conditional cash assistance of Rs.1400.

Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram

  • The scheme entitles all pregnant women delivered in public health institutions to an absolutely free and no-expense delivery. 
  • A pregnant woman is also entitled to free transport from home to the government health facility.

Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan

  • Aims to provide quality antenatal care, free of cost, universally to all pregnant women on the 9th of every month.
  • It guarantees a minimum package of antenatal care services to women in their 2nd/3rd trimesters of pregnancy at designated government health facilities.

Mothers Absolute Affection Program to enhance optimal breastfeeding practices in the country through Community awareness generation, Strengthening inter personal communication through ASHA etc.

LaQshya Initiative (Labour Room Quality Improvement Initiative) 

  • To reduce preventable maternal and newborn mortality, morbidity and stillbirths by improving the quality of care provided in the labour room.

Mission Parivar Vikas

  • Mission Parivar Vikas focuses on family planning initiatives and targeted approaches for population stabilisation through better services delivery approach. 
  • Focusing on Sexual Reproductive Health, Nutrition, Injuries and violence.
  • Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram, 2014 Non-Communicable Diseases, Mental Health and Substance Misuse with a promotive and preventive approach.

Peer Education Programme

Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS)/Reproductive Child Health (RCH) 

  • Application is an individual-based tracking system to facilitate timely delivery of antenatal and postnatal care services and immunization to children.

Kilkari application has been launched to deliver free weekly audio messages about pregnancy, child birth and care.
